Artist & Plastic Surgeon
Aside from being a plastic surgeon, recording artist and musician, Dr. De La Cruz is also a painter and a sculptor. His love for anatomy, drawing, painting portraits, and sculpting started when he was a child. As an artist, Dr. De La Cruz appreciates the Golden ratio (an irrational number with a value of - F + 1/F^n =2 = 1.6180339887...) The golden ratio allegedly defines the essence of beauty and is a road map for identifying the best division of shapes within any image. Learning the planes with sculpting enabled Dr. De La Cruz to be a better artist, and a better plastic surgeon.
Under the tutelage of the world-renowned French sculptor and author, Philippe Faraut, Dr. De La Cruz mastered sculpting the human body using earthenware clay.
