ACNE SCAR REMOVAL

Dr. De La Cruz approaches the removal of acne scars with different modalities.  SIngle modality treatment is often unsuccesful, and thus Dr. De La Cruz treats your acne scars with multi-modal treatments.  The following treatments are employed to treat your acne scars:

1) POLYLACTIC ACID or SCULPTRA INJECTION

Sculptra injections induces collagen formation in the subdermal level.  Three to five sessions maybe needed.  These sessions are administered once every month. Results are typically seen after the 3rd or 4th session.

2) CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels are often used to remove the outer layer of the skin.  This improves the contour of the skin as new collagen forms from the sculptra treatment.

3) RADIOFREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING or FRACTORA or MORPHEUS 8

Radiofrequency microneedling improves the skin texture by causing skin retraction.  This improves contour irregularities of the skin caused by acne.  Combining the treatment with Morpheus 8 or Fractora improves the results of removing acne scars

4) LASER SKIN RESURFACING

 

We employ the Erbium-YAG LASER skin resurfacing to improve the skin by removing the superficial layer.  This LASER has been clinically proven to have less complications than the CO2 LASER.  There's less pigmentation changes, less downtime, and less scaring.
