FRACTORA
FRACTORA - Houston
Fractora is the most versatile bipolar radio frequency treatment available nowadays. It provides dramatic skin, acne scarring, and wrinkle improvement by fractionally ablating the skin and restructuring deeper tissue. This FDA-approved technology delivers radio frequency energy to the skin through an array of pins producing localized heat and small micro-lesion dots in the treatment area.

The gentle heat generated by the Fractora pins in the sub-dermal tissue promotes collagen restructuring for skin rejuvenation and an improved appearance in the skin. The majority of repair is being done under the skin, maximizing your results, but the damage to the surface is minimal, allowing you to heal faster and better than with traditional resurfacing machines and CO2 laser technologies. The most common areas of treatment are the lower eyelid, upper eyelid, smile lines, cheeks, mouth, and neck.

What are the benefits of Fractora?
-
Clinical papers demonstrate astounding Fractora outcomes such as improvement in skin complexion, and reduction in skin irregularities, in very convenient, scalpel-free, 1-2 hours session.
-
Fractora can be used on active cystic acne and acne scars, improving acne scarring by 50%.
-
It can be used in areas that demonstrate fine or deep wrinkles, scars, or excessively discolored red and brown skin tone (many scattered red vessels).
-
While the full face and neck are often treated, it is also possible to treat smaller areas like cheeks and nose, where many people have localized acne scarring.
-
Fractora treatments have also been done successfully on stretchmarks on the body, and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

Fractora Dramatic Results

Skin around the face and neck will look more rested and youthful immediately after each Fractora treatment. Each session will further ablate and resurface the skin, resulting in a reduction of wrinkles, skin laxity, textural irregularities, and scarring, without going through the inconveniences of invasive cosmetic surgery and general anesthesia.

What to expect in a Fractora session?

During the preparation for Fractora treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the area being treated and kept on for about 30 minutes, to reduce any associated discomfort. Additionally, a cold air chiller may be used at the same time as the Fractora passes are done. This allows the RF to travel deeper into the skin, as well as makes you more comfortable.
The treatment tip will be applied to the skin and a pulse of RF will pulse into the skin and target the appropriate areas. Each Fractora treatment will last between 60-120 minutes depending on the size of the area(s) being treated. After treatment Dr. De La Cruz will go over post-treatment protocols (i.e using sunscreen every day to protect your skin), as well as cover your treated area with Bio Serum, a healing skin ointment.
After your Fractora procedure, you can immediately go home and may go back to work the following day. You will look red, swollen, and shiny after the procedure.
However, the swelling and redness will subside in few days. Fractora results will continue to develop over the coming months, as new collagen is created.

What are the risks of Fractora?

Complications after a Fractora treatment are very rare but include: bleeding, infection, bruising, uneven swelling or discoloration, allergic reaction to the anesthesia, skin blistering (usually only seen in smokers), and skin burn.
